John Rhoades has had a lengthy career in finance, starting with banking where he found that he liked working with people and numbers. It was within the banking industry that John discovered his passion for helping people make sense of their finances. This led him to pursue a career in financial services, where he could apply a more comprehensive approach to financial planning. Using his financial knowledge and experience, he has helped many clients and small business’s achieve financial success. John began his financial planning career with Ameriprise Financial 30 years ago, where he built the foundation for a successful and respected financial planning practice. John later took his practice to LPL Financial, a firm he felt provided cutting edge tools and technology to help further support his efforts in providing sound advice and high level service to his clients. John holds his FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses with LPL Financial as well as multiple state insurance licenses.
Born and raised in Northampton, MA, John has deep roots in his community. He is very involved with his community outside of work, volunteering his time for multiple organizations including being a 40 year member and past president of the Lions Club in Northampton and a founding board member of The Downtown Northampton Association. He has served in the past as a board member for United Way of Hampshire County, Northampton Dollars for Scholars, and the Hampshire County chapter of American Heart Association where he also served as president. John has also spent time coaching Little League and Suburban basketball in Northampton. He and his wife Lisa reside in Northampton and when he is not working, you can find him spending time with his 3 children and attending the various school and sports events for his 6 grandchildren.
